We are a major manufacturer of plastic components for the battery industry, looking to appoint an experienced and highly- organised HR Manager to our growing team.
You will be responsible for overseeing and implementing policies that support our team and ensure compliance with employment laws. You’ll provide guidance on HR matters, assist in resolving employee relations issues, and support training and development.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in developing and managing our HR policies and ensuring legal compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees compliance with all existing governmental and labor legal requirements including any related to the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), the Department of Labor, and workers compensation.
- Provides advice and counsel to employees and management on labor laws, human resource policies, and company/department policies to promote understanding, minimize conflict, and resolve issues.
- Partners with management to resolve employee relations, disciplinary issues, and performance deficiencies, including gathering and documenting the proper information and following the proper counseling process in compliance with labor laws.
- Partners with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs, and laws.
- Review and approve employment terminations with the appropriate supervisor.
- Investigates employee relations issues ensuring compliance with company policy and employment laws.
- Drives and executes the communications and/or set-up of company events and programs.
- Make recommendations for new programs, policies, training, and development opportunities for the facility.
- All other duties as assigned.

Accuma Corporation has over 40 years of experience in injection moulding of plastic containers, lids, vent-plugs and accessories, as well as in production of a wide range of cold forged lead bushings for battery applications.

The Person
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience providing general Human Resources leadership and administering policies and procedures is required.
- Requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, management, and potential candidates.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR policies and procedures required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, good judgment, and decision-making ability.
- Must be a self-starter with attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidential information.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
