Energy & Lighting Auditor – $60,000-$70,000 based on experience – New York City (Hybrid-working)

The Role

Are you detail-oriented, possess knowledge of building systems, and enjoy working with professionals of all types, from building trades and operating engineers to sustainability managers and architects?

INF Associates is seeking an Energy & Lighting Auditor to join our growing decarbonization team. You'll play a key role in developing energy-saving solutions for leading companies and real estate portfolios in the metro-NYC area.

This position is primarily field based (3+ days per week) with a majority of auditing sites located within metro-NYC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct audits of existing facilities to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities, with emphasis on lighting and lighting control systems.
  • Post-audit, support the engineering and design team to develop the recommended solutions, projected outcomes, and financial implications based on project documents and audit findings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure an understanding of energy solutions, the client’s specific requirements, and complete projects within deadlines.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the sales team during client interactions.
  • Utilize CRM programs, Microsoft Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and other tools for data management and documentation.
  • Be flexible on learning and supporting new responsibilities as the role evolves and new opportunities arise.

The Person

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in engineering, engineering technology, lighting solutions, or a related field (preferred).
  • 2-3 years of professional experience, with a basic understanding of building technologies and energy solutions (preferred).
  • Experience in field work, such as construction management, is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and CRM software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions and team collaboration.
