Safety Manager – $80,000to $100,000 pa– Gridley, IL 

The Role

We are looking for a Safety Manager to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.

In this role you will provide oversight for our safety and health programs. This will involve accident prevention, investigation, and the implementation of comprehensive environmental safety and health programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform investigations for lost time and recordable incidents.
• Coordinate employee visits to occupational health and document incidents on OSHA 300.
• Oversee safety programs such as Confined Space, Lockout/Tagout, Hot Work, Hazardous Communication, Respirator, Forklift, Aerial Lift, and Boom Lift.
• Manage Stormwater and Spill Prevention Programs, including inspections and reporting.
• Conduct monthly inspections of safety equipment like fire extinguishers, emergency showers/eye wash stations, AEDs, smoke alarms, CO2 alarms, harnesses & lanyards, and arc flash equipment.
• Direct Supervisor Safety Incentive and Employee Safety Incentive Programs.
• Initiate and track weekly Tool Box Talks.
• Create and update Standard Safety Operating Procedures (SSOPs) as needed.
• Collaborate closely with production, maintenance, and engineering staff to ensure compliance with best work practice standards.
