The Role

Join our team as our Quality Director and be a key player in ensuring the highest standards of quality assurance across our projects. As our Quality Director, you will oversee, support, and lead the quality department in planning and implementing project quality assurance controls. Your role is vital in ensuring compliance with government regulations, company policies, OEM standards, codes, and contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and advise, project management, and field teams in implementing project quality controls.
- Oversee and lead the Quality Control department.
- Develop and manage the company’s quality control program, monitoring progress and recommending improvements.
- Design and test QA/QC logs to meet standards and ensure compliance.
- Evaluate scopes of work and provide input during the estimation process.
- Collaborate with Warehouse Manager to ensure quality of materials, fabrication, and equipment.
- Inspect project sites, prepare detailed QC reports, and resolve any issues promptly.
- Develop and distribute quality control documentation, staying updated on construction codes and regulations.
- Perform internal and external audits and train new management personnel.
- Serve as a liaison between client QC Manager and the company’s project management team.
- Procure third-party quality control consultants and coordinate activities with onsite QC Manager.
- Ensure Quality milestones are integrated into project schedules.
- Collaborate with Owner or GC Quality Control Representative during project closeout for lessons learned.
The Person
- Seven to ten years work experience as a Quality Control Director in construction or similar role.
- Ability to travel to multiple job sites when needed and to stay at remote locations for extended period of time.
- Proven ability to supervise and develop quality personnel
- Thorough working knowledge of regulatory agency quality assurance/control activities.
- Experience on similar facilities under construction.
- Experience using the appropriate measuring instruments (i.e., calipers, gauges, levels, etc.).
- Have or obtain within one year: CWI, OSHA 30.
