Receptionist/Office Assistant – Competitive – Hauppauge, NY

The Role

Do you have proven experience as front desk receptionist/office assistant or in another relevant administrative role?

If so, American Health Formulations, a fast-growing nutraceutical company, are looking for a Receptionist/Office Assistant to help with the organization and running of the daily administrative operations of the company in several different departments, including HR and finance.

The key responsibilities of a Receptionist/Office Assistant include, but are not limited to:

  • Greet and welcome guests and callers.
  • Follow SOP’s for visitors
  • Keep front desk tidy and presentable with all necessary material (pens, forms, paper etc.)
  • Assist the Office Manager in organizing office/reception in ways that optimize procedures.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail in a timely manner.

The Person

The key skills and qualities of a Receptionist/Office Assistant:

  • Proven experience as front desk receptionist/office assistant or in another relevant administrative role is desired, but the right candidate will be trained.
  • Strong communication and people skills; Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of office equipment (e.g. copier, printer etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail; Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Proficient in English (oral and written)
  • Able to scan and file documents accordingly; Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word) and Skype, Zoom, etc.
  • Language: Spanish a plus.
