We are looking for a Personnel Security Specialist III to provide expert support for pre-appointment and interim security clearance decisions, ensuring all personnel are compliant with relevant regulations.

This teleworks role requires a strong understanding of federal security guidelines, including Executive Orders and Security Executive Agent Directives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply knowledge of government policies related to personnel security, including Executive Orders (EOs) and Federal Investigative Standards (FIS).
  • Conduct thorough security checks using various databases to confirm the status of individuals' background investigations.
  • Manage and process security questionnaires via e-QIP or eAPP systems, ensuring all required information is complete.
  • Prepare detailed reports, standard operating procedures, and training materials.
  • Support initiatives aimed at improving internal processes related to personnel security.

The Person

To excel in this role, you’ll need:

  • A high school diploma.
  • A current Top-Secret clearance, with the ability to maintain SCI.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in personnel security administration or similar roles.
  • Strong communication, risk management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and related tools.
