The Role

Are you a seasoned project management leader with a proven ability to drive complex projects to successful completion? Do you excel at building and motivating high-performing teams while ensuring alignment with organizational goals? If so, we invite you to join our team as a Project Director.

VAN DYK is design, consulting, and equipment sales for the North American recycler. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and lead a team of project managers, ensuring the successful delivery of multiple projects that align with our organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and mentoring a team of project managers.
  • Developing and implementing project management standards and best practices.
  • Collaborating with senior leadership to define project priorities and allocate resources.
  • Monitoring project progress, identifying risks, and developing mitigation plans.
  • Fostering strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Providing regular project updates and reports.

The Person

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a Master's degree is preferred.

Experience:

  • Extensive experience in project management, with a track record of successfully managing complex projects.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role is essential.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.

Certifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or other relevant certifications are highly desirable.

Industry Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with the Recycling industry or construction sector is a plus.
