The Role

We are in search of a skilled Bench Joinery Manufacturing Manager to steer the direction and augment the growth of our bespoke joinery manufacturer, supplier and fit-out business. This role demands collaborating with the Operations Manager to streamline processes, improve efficiencies, and ensure impeccable quality across the board.

Key Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day leadership of the workshop team: bench joiners, apprentices, wood machinists, and spray painter.
• Review and optimise workshop processes, including H&S, training, and development.
• Analyse design briefs and manage production planning, material requisitions, and stock levels.
• Quality assurance and standardisation.
• Hands-on management, occasionally working on tools as required.
• Ensuring department meets set targets and optimising resource utilisation.
• Liaise seamlessly with internal teams, clients, and suppliers.
• Uphold stringent safety regulations and foster a team-oriented work environment.
• Working with the bench joiners to find solutions to manufacturing problems.

The Person

Essential:

• Broad bench joinery and commercial fit-out experience.
• Proficient in office software.
• Capable of setting-out and producing cutting lists.
• Problem solver.

Desirable:

• 3 years of joinery experience (preferred).
• 2 years in workshop management (preferred).
• Knowledge in CAD or similar platforms.
• Wood machining expertise.
