The Role

Our client is a leading engineering and design consulting company in Saudi Arabia, whom are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team.

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company’s growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities. Your efforts will help the company establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, including organisations such as Saudi Aramco, SABIC, and major infrastructure projects like NEOM, Red Sea, and New Murraba.

You will be responsible for developing and executing business development strategies, managing client engagement, and supporting the sales process. Your goal will be to help the company achieve its growth objectives while ensuring a high level of service for existing clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business development strategies with a focus on the General Engineering and PMC services for large-scale projects in Saudi Arabia.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, networking events, and collaboration initiatives.
  • Lead business development projects, working directly with senior management and reporting progress to leadership.
  • Advise and support the team on business development best practices, strategies, and techniques.
  • Organise training sessions for the team on pitching and sales skills.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team on proposals and tenders.
  • Manage post-win client relations, ensuring long-term satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across the organisation to achieve business goals.

Our client is a leading multidiscipline Engineering & Design Consulting Company and Engineering Support Service provider in the Kingdom, established for over 45 years, involved extensively with various projects including power & water, oil & gas, petrochemical and industrial.   They are seeking to restructure, expand and develop their company goals and to offer a world class engineering and PMC Service to the exciting new mega infrastructure projects in the Kingdom.

The Person

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in engineering, business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience in business development, particularly in the engineering or infrastructure sectors.
  • A strong understanding of the Saudi Arabian and Middle Eastern business environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to manage projects, influence stakeholders, and work under pressure.
  • A proactive and consultative approach to sales and business development.
  • Ideally, candidates from the UK or Europe (expats preferred).
