The Role

We're looking for a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team. You'll be responsible for manufacturing new components for hydraulic systems, using raw materials to create parts as per specifications. This role requires a talented individual who can operate various machines, read technical drawings and ensure top-quality production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret samples, drawings, or instructions to understand the requirements of the job.
  • Plan the order of operations for machining parts.
  • Measure and prepare materials for cutting and shaping.
  • Operate and set up machines such as manual lathes and mills for specific tasks.
  • Inspect the finished product to ensure it meets all specifications.
  • Maintain machinery and handle minor repairs.

The Person

We are looking for a candidate who has:

  • A high school diploma: further vocational training or an apprenticeship is highly advantageous.
  • Proven experience as a Manual Machinist.
  • Familiarity with manual and automated machining tools.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • The ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
  • Physical stamina and the strength to handle materials up to 50 lbs.
