As the Head of Football Services, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the landscape of football governance and development across the capital. Reporting directly to the senior management team, your responsibilities encompass a diverse range of critical functions aimed at fostering the growth and sustainability of grassroots football.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the football services department, providing strategic direction as part of the senior management team.
  • Develop a customer-focused, efficient department that aligns with the organization's strategy and The FA’s Grassroots Football Strategy.
  • Act as Deputy Senior Safeguarding Lead, overseeing the safeguarding team.
  • Lead a review of behaviour in grassroots football in London and develop a strategy for improvement.
  • Manage all aspects of football governance, discipline, and regulation.
  • Identify and monitor key measures for continuous departmental improvement.
  • Empower the football services team to match business needs, personal ambitions, and skill sets.
  • Take senior lead and strategic responsibility for London FA’s Cup Competitions programme.
  • Support the adoption of FA technology systems across grassroots football.
  • Ensure compliance with FA rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and guidance.

The Person

  • Extensive experience in strategy development and implementation.
  • Proven ability to positively influence and inspire teams.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels.
  • Willingness to perform hands-on tasks when needed.
  • Ability to navigate FA’s Customer Relationship Management platforms.
