Fulfilment Driver – from £27,500 p.a. – Ashford, Kent

The Role

We are a leading distributer of fixings, construction, fasteners, and building consumables, looking to appoint a reliable and friendly Fulfilment Driver to be the face of our company; the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and collecting products in an efficient, safe, and timely manner in Central London.

Start and finish times and scheduling of customer delivery vehicles will need to be flexible throughout the day to meet the current and future needs of the business between the hours of 06:00 and 18:00 hours. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurate movement and delivery/collection of products within allocated timeslots.
• Loading and unloading products of varying dimensions and weights (up to 25kg).
• Ensuring the safe and efficient loading of your vehicle.
• Accurate completion of all documentation and adherence to optimized route planning through handheld technology.
• Daily vehicle checks and reporting of defects or repairs.
• Compliance with all relevant legal and safety regulations.
• Timely communication of any delivery exceptions.
• Attendance at essential training to carry out your role effectively.

The Person:

• Hold a current, full UK driver’s licence, no more than 3-6 points.
• Experienced and comfortable driving/delivering in Central London.
• Possess basic numeracy and IT skills.
• Understand and have knowledge of basic health and safety requirements.
