Business Development Manager – Competitive Salary – Stockton on Tees, North West or Humberside

The Role

SPIE UK, a smart engineering and technology-driven solutions provider for the built environment, are looking for a Business Development Manager to identify opportunities in line with strategic targets.

Taking up a role in which frequent national travel across the UK will apply, the successful candidate will develop and maintain relationships with new customers within the UK industrial sectors.

The key responsibilities of a Business Development Manager include, but are not limited to:

• Supporting of existing customer accounts (as/where needed)
• Involvement, as needed, in proposal delivery, ensuring professional, high quality documents are produced highlighting key company USPs
• Reporting to management on progress and probability
• Input into company CRM systems (Salesforce)
• Reporting on market trends

The Person

The key skills and qualities of a Business Development Manager:

• Proven experience in a Sales/Development position, specific to UK industrial markets
• Experience in UK industrial markets – including but not limited to: Petrochemical, Oil and Gas, Power specifically supporting mechanical and electrical projects
• Conversant with a wide range of mechanical and electrical services, systems and equipment
• Commercial aptitude
• Proven contract growth/ profitability
• Negotiation skills
• Excellent Communications skills (verbal and written)
• IT literate (Word, Excel, Outlook)
