UI/UX Product Designer – $75,000/year salary + annual bonus and benefits – Bend, OR

The Role

Do you enjoy solving complex problems with easy to use software? If so, Porting.com, an inventive development company that designs software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications to help companies manage their telecommunications networks and phone numbers, is seeking a UI/UX Product Designer.

The successful candidate will create wireframes, storyboards, and user flows that promote usability and an amazing customer experience.

The key responsibilities of a UI/UX Product Designer include, but are not limited to:

  • Using visual storytelling to showcases our brand differentiators and inspire our customers.
  • Contributing to high-level strategic decisions with the Product Owner and executive teams.
  • Giving and soliciting feedback from other designers, internal stakeholders, and customers to continually raise our bar for quality.

Currently, we are aggressively developing new, exciting industry-changing features in our software products. Thus, we are looking for an awesome UI/UX Product Designer who looks at challenges as an opportunity to solve problems.

The Person

The key skills and qualities of a UI/UX Product Designer:

  •  5+ years’ experience designing for an in-house creative department or agency. Experience with B2B and a start-up environment are preferred. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Graphic Arts, Advertising or Fine Arts highly preferred but will accept additional experience in lieu of formal education.
  • An exceptional portfolio with real-world examples demonstrating a strong record of design that stands out.
  • Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3, React, Javascript, and other front-end development technologies (coding experience would be great, but is not required).
  • Proficiency using Sketch, Adobe Suite, and/or other prototyping tools (Marvel, inVision, Moqups, etc).
  • Self-motivated to drive projects forward towards success.
