The Role
Are you an experienced Technical Writer eager to lend your expertise to a dynamic and innovative team?
As a Senior Technical Writer at INF Associates, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the communication of our advanced technology to a diverse range of end users. You will spearhead the development, editing, and publication of detailed documents, fostering a deeper understanding of our products, ensuring the seamless integration of our innovative solutions into diverse operational landscapes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write, edit, validate, and publish comprehensive documents such as installation manuals, service manuals, datasheets, commissioning guides, software walk-throughs, etc.
- Effectively collaborate and build strong working relationships with subject matter experts such as engineers, technicians, and product managers to ensure alignment on programs/projects/priorities, and that all content is accurate and approved.
- Proactively project-manage multiple documentation projects/initiatives concurrently to ensure that priorities are addressed appropriately.
- Track ongoing product iterations and improvements across different regions worldwide to ensure that all information, is properly documented, and socialized in a timely manner.
- Interact directly with hardware and/or software products hands-on to fully understand how they work, to create content more effectively with the deeper product understanding in mind.
- Manage document translations to support successful worldwide deployment of products and region-specific information availability.

The Person
- 5+ years of Technical Writing experience in a high-tech environment working with technical subject matter experts, or in a similar product-focused role.
- Experience working with energy technology, automotive technology, or other high-tech products such as batteries, power electronics, charging equipment, solar/PV systems, etc.
- Experience writing step-by-step procedures, how-to user guides, and other instructional content in the form of manuals, work instructions, and service bulletins.
- Ability to understand complex technical information and communicate it concisely to a variety of not-as-technical end users.
- Proficiency with industry-standard authoring and content creation tools (Word, InDesign, Oxygen XML Editor, FrameMaker, Visio, etc.).
- Experience working in a structured authoring environment (DITA/XML, HTML, etc.)
- Experience creating visual content that directly accompanies text within documents, such as taking photographs and editing them to include callouts and zoom-ins, and/or pulling CAD model visualizations from engineering databases.
