Salary: £45,000-£55,000 /year + commission

We are looking for an experienced Civil Litigation Solicitor to lead our Civil Litigation Department in Manchester. This is a key role in our firm, ideal for someone ready to drive performance, manage a varied caseload, and play a strategic part in our ongoing success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead the Civil Litigation Department.
- Oversee a caseload including contract disputes, property matters, debt recovery, and landlord-tenant issues.
- Provide clear legal advice and guidance to clients.
- Draft and review complex legal documents.
- Represent clients in court, mediations, and negotiations.
- Mentor and supervise junior solicitors and support staff.
- Track case progress and departmental targets.
- Stay informed on legal developments in civil litigation.
- Support business development through networking and client engagement.
- Work with senior leadership to align departmental and firm-wide goals.

The Person
- Qualified Solicitor (England and Wales) with at least 5 years' PQE.
- Strong civil litigation experience across varied matters.
- Proven leadership or team management background.
- Confident advocate with excellent negotiation skills.
- Able to manage your own caseload while guiding a team.
- Commercially aware with a strategic outlook.
- Skilled in legal research and case management systems.
- Excellent communication and client service skills.
- Team player with a professional and proactive attitude.
