The Role

Can you lead joyful, soulful worship? Do you have the musical skills to guide a Gospel choir with confidence?

As the Gospel Music Director/Accompanist, you will provide musical support and leadership for Gospel worship services. This includes leading rehearsals, accompanying services, and working with the Chaplain to prepare meaningful, gospel-driven music experiences.

This is a part-time, 1099 contract.

Position contingent upon contract award.

Key Responsibilities:

• Play keyboard and/or guitar for Gospel services
• Lead the music team and congregation vocally
• Conduct weekly choir rehearsals
• Arrange and prepare gospel music for services and special occasions
• Coordinate music plans with the Chaplain
• Submit seasonal music plans
• Maintain volunteer rosters and musical equipment
• Ensure copyright compliance

The Person

• 2+ years of music study or relevant Gospel music experience
• Minimum 3 years’ keyboard or guitar experience
• Able to lead Gospel choir and congregation vocally
• Proficient in reading Gospel scores and arranging music
• Organized, creative, and collaborative
