The Role

Are you an experienced process technician with hands-on expertise in plastic injection molding? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

We are a major manufacturer of plastic components for the battery industry, looking to appoint an experienced Process Technician to our growing team.

You will play a vital role in the set-up, troubleshooting, and maintenance of injection moulding machines. You will work closely with other technicians and operators to ensure production runs smoothly and meets our strict quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

         ·         Develop and document robust injection molding processes.

         ·         Troubleshoot processing problems and make proper adjustments to meet quality requirements.

         ·         Assist with mold changeovers and set up.

         ·         Enter required production and quality information into company computer systems.

         ·         Coordinate activities of operators on shift for proper hand-off of process changes/protocols.

         ·         Assist with preventative maintenance activities on machines.

         ·         Ensure product quality, conformance to standard cycles and standard processes

         ·         Maintain a safe and productive work environment

         ·         Follow Quality procedures to ensure products are manufactured to specific requirements.

         ·         Develop processes for new products

         ·         Set-up, troubleshoot and write basic programs for robots.

The Company

Accuma Corporation has been a major manufacturer of plastic components for the battery industry for over 50 years. Producing battery containers, lids, vent-plugs and accessories.

The Person

         ·         Minimum of 5 years of technical experience in an injection molding manufacturing environment.

         ·         High School diploma required or GED. Technical associate degree highly desired.

         ·         Math and writing skills.

         ·         Hands-on experience in injection molding equipment/processes.

         ·         Familiarity with ISO requirements/demands in a production environment.
