The Role

Are you experienced in leading Catholic Religious Education programs? Do you have the skills to organize, train, and guide volunteers within a faith community?

We are seeking a Catholic Religious Education (RE) Coordinator to develop, organize, and maintain the Catholic RE Program at Seymour Johnson AFB Chapel. You will work closely with the Catholic Chaplain/Priest to build and manage programs that serve our Catholic community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for Catholic RE programs.
• Develop and maintain the Catholic RE program in alignment with chapel goals.
• Assist in building the annual calendar of events and budgets for RE programs.
• Ensure facility requests for RE programs are completed and submitted on time.
• Prepare and submit purchase requests for RE program needs promptly.
• Create and propose effective advertisements for programs and events.
• Attend meetings to report on program activities, events, and budget updates.
• Collaborate with the Chaplain and volunteers to build engaging RE programs.

The Person

• Has at least 3 years of Catholic RE leadership experience, preferably within a parish or military chapel.
• Understands Catholic doctrines and worship practices.
• Can clearly communicate in English, both in writing and speaking.
• Works well with others in a multi-faith environment.
• Can efficiently organize and manage various program elements.
• Is comfortable using Microsoft Office and performing administrative tasks.
• Understands the basics of planning and executing a program budget.
