An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Sales Director – OEM Customers to join a global design, engineering, and manufacturing company operating in the appliance, automotive, and HVAC sectors. This role offers the chance to take ownership of key customer accounts across North America, driving both growth and customer satisfaction.

The Role

As Sales Director – OEM Customers, you will be responsible for managing relationships with major OEM customers across a range of product lines and systems. Your focus will be on growing new business, maintaining existing accounts, and safeguarding profitability.

Reporting to the VP of Sales, you'll work closely with internal engineering, commercial, and leadership teams, acting as the main liaison for strategic accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute account strategies to drive organic growth
  • Maintain and expand relationships with existing OEM clients
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Analyse customer and market trends to support planning and proposals
  • Coordinate technical and commercial meetings with clients and internal teams
  • Resolve customer issues and ensure high levels of service and support
  • Stay informed on relevant industry regulations and advise accordingly
  • Represent the business at customer sites and industry events
  • Mentor less experienced team members and support internal knowledge sharing
  • Contribute to long-term business planning and goal setting

The Person

 

  • Degree-qualified with at least 5 years’ experience in sales or account management
  • Strong understanding of electro-mechanical or electronic systems sold to OEMs
  • Confident communicator with experience in customer presentations and negotiations
  • Knowledge of business planning, proposal development, and financial modelling
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software
  • Highly organised and self-motivated
  • Experience in selling to large OEMs is an advantage
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish is desirable
