Are you a hands-on HGV Class 2 driver who enjoys being out on the road? Do you have HIAB, Plant Delivery experience and take real pride in getting the job done properly?

Oakfield Construction C.Eng Ltd is a friendly, well-established construction company, and we are looking for a dependable HGV Class 2 HIAB/Beavertail Driver to join our team.

The role

This is a full-time role based from our Nottingham yard, with most of your time spent out on the road. You will be delivering materials and equipment to sites, making sure everything arrives safely and on time. No two days are quite the same, and you will play a key part in keeping our projects moving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive HGV Class 2 vehicles, including HIAB and beavertail lorries
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks before setting off
  • Load and unload materials, ensuring everything is secure
  • Deliver to sites and customers in a safe and timely manner
  • Keep delivery notes and paperwork up to date
  • Stay in touch with the team about schedules or any delays
  • Follow all road safety rules and company guidelines
  • Report any vehicle faults as soon as possible

The person

  • You hold a valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence (C+E is a bonus)
  • You have experience with HIAB ideally to a CPCS/NPORS or equivalent standard.
  • You have worked in a similar driving role before
  • You are organised and pay attention to detail
  • You are comfortable working on your own and managing your time
  • You are friendly, reliable and communicate well
  • You take safety seriously and follow the rules
