Looking for a stable role with real variety and long-term projects you can take pride in? Want to be part of a small, skilled team where your trade really matters?

We’re a friendly, well-established construction company based just outside Truro, and we’re on the lookout for a Mason / Multi-skilled Mason Operative to join us on a range of rewarding projects across central and west Cornwall.

The role

You’ll be working on everything from heritage refurbishments to extensions and conversions – often seeing a job through from start to finish. It’s steady, year-round work with no need to chase your next job.

You’ll be part of a close-knit team, working Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm. Some days you’ll be on one site for weeks, other times you might move between jobs – it keeps things interesting.

Key Responsibilities

  • General masonry and wet trades – blocklaying, rendering, stonework, paving and more – so no two days are the same
  • Follow jobs from start to finish, giving you real ownership of the build
  • Work alongside trusted subcontractors (electrical, mechanical, flooring) – we’re all on the same team
  • Handle setting-out, drainage and light demo work – use your full skillset and stay sharp
  • Flex between working solo and as part of a team – we trust you to do the job right

About our company

  • Renovations and conversions
  • Historic building repairs
  • New builds and extensions

The Benefits

  • Company van with tools provided
  • Consistent, long-term work
  • Help getting your CSCS card if you don’t already have one
  • Ongoing training in things like first aid and health & safety

The person

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Have solid experience in masonry and a mix of wet trades
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
  • Live locally (or are moving to Cornwall soon)
  • Have (or are eligible for) a CSCS card
  • Are happy working alone or with others, and keen to get stuck in
  • Bonus if you’ve got extra qualifications (plant, first aid etc.)
