Catholic Administrative Religious Education Coordinator- $18.00- $20.00 per hour (working 35 hours per week)– Schofield Barracks, Hawaii

The Role

Do you have experience organising education programmes while keeping calendars, records, and communications running smoothly? Are you confident working with clergy and community groups to ensure Religious Education activities are well prepared and well attended?

We are seeking a Catholic Administrative Religious Education Coordinator to provide structured administrative support to Catholic Religious Education programmes. This is a varied and rewarding role where your organisation skills help children, families, and the wider Community engage fully in learning and faith life.

As a Catholic Administrative Religious Education Coordinator, you will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of Catholic Religious Education (RE) programmes. You will work closely with the Priest, COR, Parish Council, and education teams to ensure classes, events, and records are accurate, timely, and well organised.

This role offers clear structure, meaningful responsibility, and the satisfaction of supporting faith formation across regular and seasonal programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend all required meetings, including:
  •     Monthly COR meetings
  •     Programme progress reviews
  •      Parish Council meetings
  • Produce and submit a monthly Catholic Religious Education calendar by the final business day of the preceding month, including:
  •     Regular and seasonal RE events
  •     Chapel and Catholic Community events
  •     Holiday closures and Holy Day
  • Support Religious Education classes by:
  •     Preparing facility reservation requests
  •     Creating flyers for RE programmes and seasonal activities
  •     Tracking and reporting weekly RE attendance
  • Coordinate seasonal programmes such as Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, Vacation Bible School, and RE Kick-off
  • Prepare and organise RE programme materials, including:
  •     Formatting curriculum materials
  •     Making copies and distributing supplies
  •     Setting up and resetting classrooms and learning spaces
  • Submit monthly reports on attendance, materials used, and supplies
  • Prepare sacramental records by collecting documentation and completing accurate AMS portal entries
  • Complete required background checks in line with programme requirements

The Person

  • Able to obtain Catechist certification within 90 days
  • Confident communicator, both written and verbal
  • Competent using Windows-based systems and Microsoft Office
  • Organised, reliable, and attentive to detail
  • Professional, respectful, and courteous at all times
