Digital Skills Tutor - £30.18 per hour (includes holiday pay) - Across the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea

Want to make a real difference teaching digital skills? Looking for flexible, rewarding work where you help adults gain confidence and independence online?

Join us at Westway Trust and use your skills to change lives in your local community. As a Digital Skills Tutor, you’ll work part-time during term-time, helping adults across Kensington and Chelsea to build essential digital skills—from using a computer to navigating the digital workplace.

This is a chance to grow your teaching experience, use your creativity, and support people who really benefit from your knowledge. You’ll get to shape how sessions run, connect with learners from all walks of life, and feel proud of the impact you’re making.

Hours: Part-time, term-time

The role

You’ll design and run friendly, practical sessions in ICT and digital skills—everything from getting started with technology to workplace tools. You'll work with both employed and unemployed adults, tailoring lessons to their goals and helping them progress.

Along the way, you’ll gain hands-on experience in course planning, working with exam boards, and supporting learners at different levels. It’s a great opportunity to develop your teaching skills while doing work that really matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and deliver engaging, learner-centred digital skills sessions
  • Support learners with personalised feedback and advice
  • Help learners track progress, prepare for assessments, and build confidence
  • Design activities that make digital learning simple and enjoyable
  • Keep clear records and contribute to planning and team discussions
  • Be part of shaping and improving the adult learning programme

About our company

Westway Trust is a charity based in North Kensington. We manage 23 acres of community space under the A40 and support local people through learning, culture, enterprise and green spaces. Everything we do is rooted in equity, openness and community-led decisions.

The Benefits

  • Free gym membership next to the office
  • Pension scheme, life assurance, and sick pay

The person

You’ll need a recognised adult teaching qualification (like PTLLS, CTLLS or DTLLS) and experience teaching ICT to adults. You know how to adapt your approach to suit different learners and enjoy seeing people grow in confidence.

You’re also:

  • Great at explaining tech in a simple way
  • Friendly, supportive and good at building trust
  • Organised, reliable and ready to take initiative
  • Committed to inclusion and learner support
  • Bonus points if you speak another language, understand RARPA or have worked with refugees or asylum seekers.
