BIM Manager (Plumbing/ Mechanical) – $75,000 – Remote/ EST Zone

We are seeking a Mechanical/Plumbing BIM Manager to join our team. With a minimum of 5+ years of industry experience, you will be at the forefront of our BIM projects, leading the development and management of BIM processes for mechanical and plumbing systems. Your role will involve creating, maintaining, and optimizing BIM models to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating Mechanical HVAC, DWV, Mechanical Pipe, Plumbing, and/or Process Pipe.
  • Attending coordination meetings with clients.
  • Collaborating with other disciplines.
  • Generate RFI s to be submitted to the design team.
  • Create detailed shop drawings for the purposes of fabrication and installation of associated trades and export of drawings for use with the robotic total station.
  • Communicate with field personnel to ensure fabrication and installation intent is clear.
  • Mentor other BIM Coordinators with on-the-job training for the use of modelling and collaboration software, fabrication and installation drawings and documents.
  • Work with other team members to complete drawings and models as required to meet project schedules.
  • Aiding in the creation of Revit families, as needed.
  • Provide Input to management regarding hardware and software requirements.

The Person

  • 5+ years of experience with 3D modelling of mechanical or plumbing systems
  • Minimum of 5+ years utilizing Autodesk Revit MEP and Navisworks
  • Strong skill set in the use of Bluebeam solutions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of construction principles.
  • Assist Project Managers with the estimation and scoping of new project opportunities.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Detail Orientated and Quality Driven
  • Self-driven with a desire to learn new systems
  • Ability to define problems, assess options and make appropriate recommendations
  • A proactive attitude and demonstrate strong self-motivational attributes.
  • Thrive in a team atmosphere.
  • Maintain experience and understanding of the production, design, and construction environment.
  • Fabrication software experience a plus.
