We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee and improve the full supply chain operation at our food manufacturing facility. You will be working across procurement, production scheduling, inventory, logistics and distribution to ensure everything runs smoothly, efficiently and in line with food safety regulations.

You will play a key role in shaping how materials are sourced, how stock is managed and how products are delivered – all while keeping quality high and costs down.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain Strategy & Operations

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, quality, and logistics teams to align supply chain processes with business goals.
  • Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain effectiveness, such as on-time delivery, inventory turnover, and cost savings.

Procurement & Supplier Management

  • Source and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely deliveries.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms while maintaining compliance with food industry regulations.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any quality or supply issues.

Inventory & Materials Management

  • Oversee inventory levels to ensure optimal stock while preventing overstock or shortages.
  • Implement inventory control systems and best practices to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
  • Work with the warehouse team to ensure proper storage, rotation, and traceability of raw materials and finished goods.

Production & Demand Planning

  • Develop and maintain production schedules in collaboration with production and sales teams.
  • Use demand forecasting and analytics to align supply chain activities with customer needs and market trends.
  • Adjust plans in response to fluctuations in demand, supply chain disruptions, or operational constraints.

The Person

  • Strong knowledge of procurement, logistics, inventory control, and demand planning.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in food manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, ERP, WMS).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
