Catholic Religious Education Coordinator - $18.00- $20.00 per hour (Working 20 hours per week)– Malstrom AFB, Cascade County, Montana

As the Catholic Religious Education Coordinator, you will implement, manage and review the Catholic Religious Education (RE) programme at Malmstrom AFB Chapel.

You will oversee classes, events and volunteers, ensuring activities are well planned, well attended and delivered to a high standard. This is a hands-on, community-facing position where organisation and communication are key.

The Catholic Religious Education Coordinator will work closely with the Catholic Chaplain and Chapel Staff, ensuring programmes meet the needs of the Catholic community while following base policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver scheduled Catholic RE curriculum
  • Set up classrooms and remain on site until all students are collected
  • Develop an annual RE programme plan, calendar and budget for approval
  • Recruit, train and support volunteer teachers and substitutes
  • Run at least two volunteer training workshops per year
  • Monitor attendance and provide monthly reports
  • Organise Vacation Bible School and the annual Christmas programme (as required)
  • Promote small group ministries and support chapel volunteer roles
  • Maintain facility security, cleanliness and equipment care
  • Attend monthly meetings with the Catholic Chaplain and Chapel Staff

The Person:

To succeed as a Catholic Religious Education Coordinator, you will:

  • Have experience managing religious education or similar programmes
  • Be confident working with volunteers
  • Be comfortable in a multi-faith, culturally diverse setting
  • Have basic skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Be able to lift up to 25 lbs and move around facilities, including stairs
  • Qualify for certification through the Archdiocese of Military Services, including Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and Viaticum
  • Present yourself in business casual attire
