The Role

Are you a caring, practical person who enjoys helping others live independently? Do you want a role where your support helps people get out into the community, try new things and feel confident every day? If so, this Support Worker opportunity could be the right fit for you.

We are looking for flexible and reliable part-time (16-32 hours per week) Support Workers to join our Halton Learning Disability Supported Living Service in Runcorn and Widnes.

As a Support Worker, you will provide day-to-day support and personal care, while encouraging people to live full and active lives. Many of the people we support have their own vehicles, so a full UK driving licence is essential.

This is a varied, hands-on role. No two days are the same. One day you may be helping with appointments, the next enjoying a trip out or supporting someone to learn a new skill.

Weekend availability is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care with dignity and respect
  • Support with daily living tasks such as cooking, shopping and budgeting
  • Drive service users’ vehicles to activities and appointments
  • Offer encouragement and emotional support
  • Promote independence, choice and wellbeing
  • Keep clear and accurate records

The Person

You do not need previous care experience. We provide full training.

You will need:

  • A full UK driving licence
  • A calm, patient and positive approach
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexibility, including some weekends
  • A genuine interest in supporting others
