You will manage a small caseload of adults living in supported accommodation across Lewisham. You’ll provide practical and emotional support, clear tenancy advice and structured plans that help people regain independence.

Every day is different. One moment you might be welcoming a new resident, the next you could be helping someone set goals, attend appointments, or prepare to move into their own home. You’ll work both independently and as part of a friendly, experienced team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and key work an allocated group of clients
  • Complete support plans with clear, achievable goals
  • Carry out inductions, risk assessments and regular reviews
  • Offer guidance on benefits, housing and tenancy matters
  • Keep accurate records using the client database
  • Conduct property, room and health & safety checks
  • Respond professionally to incidents or challenging situations
  • Work with external agencies and colleagues to provide joined-up support
  • Travel between schemes and provide occasional cover where needed

To succeed as a Supported Housing Officer, you will bring:

  • Experience in housing, support work or mental health services
  • Clear communication and strong record keeping
  • Patience, empathy and resilience
  • Confidence with lone working
  • Good IT skills and Microsoft knowledge
  • Flexibility for rota and occasional unsociable hours
