As our Western portfolio continues to grow, we are seeking a Senior Project Manager (ICI) to lead full-cycle projects in the Calgary market and play a key role in mentoring teams and driving project excellence.

The Role

The Senior Project Manager is accountable for the successful delivery of complex ICI projects from pre-construction through close-out. This role requires a seasoned construction professional with strong leadership, financial acumen, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders while maintaining schedule, budget, quality, and safety expectations.

You will work closely with Directors of Construction, Project Coordinators, Site Superintendents, clients, consultants, and trade partners to ensure projects are delivered safely, profitably, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership & Delivery
  • Lead full project lifecycle delivery, including pre-construction, procurement, construction, commissioning, and close-out
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, cash flows, and cost controls
  • Oversee contract administration, change management, RFIs, submittals, and document control
  • Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies

Financial & Commercial Management

  • Maintain accountability for project profitability and margin performance
  • Review and approve project forecasts, cost reports, progress billings, and change orders
  • Negotiate and manage subtrade and supplier contracts
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting

Team Leadership & Mentorship

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to Project Coordinators and project teams
  • Foster a collaborative, respectful, and high-performance team environment
  • Work closely with Site Superintendents to support site execution and issue resolution

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and key stakeholders
  • Lead project meetings and maintain strong, transparent communication
  • Build and maintain long-term client and trade partner relationships

Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Champion safety excellence and ensure compliance with Alberta OHS legislation and company safety programs
  • Ensure quality control and quality assurance standards are upheld
  • Support COR-aligned safety programs and site audits

Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in ICI construction, with senior-level PM responsibility
  • Proven experience delivering complex projects (commercial, institutional, industrial, healthcare, or multi-storey)
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, scheduling, cost control, and project delivery methods
  • Experience working in Alberta with knowledge of local codes, trades, and regulations
  • Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, CMiC, MS Project, P6)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Valid Driver’s licence in good standings
  • Ability to travel to other sites and or other provinces.
