Job Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Roofing Service Manager to manage the service operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, technical roofing knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role requires close collaboration with clients, field crews, vendors, and internal teams to ensure the highest quality standards and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the service department, including dispatching crews, reviewing work orders, and coordinating materials and equipment.
- Conduct site visits to assess roof conditions, diagnose issues, and develop repair scopes and estimates.
- Build and maintain client relationships through responsive communication and high-quality service delivery.
- Prepare proposals, review invoices, and track job costs and profitability.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company and OSHA standards.
- Supervise service technicians and foremen — provide coaching, training, and performance feedback.
- Coordinate with suppliers, project managers, and the accounting team to maintain smooth workflow and accurate documentation.
- Develop preventative maintenance programs and support warranty service requests.
- Promote company values of safety, integrity, and professionalism at all times.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of commercial roofing experience (repairs, service, or project management).
- Strong understanding of single-ply, built-up, modified bitumen, and metal roofing systems.
- Excellent leadership, scheduling, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic estimating or service management software.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Prior experience in a Service Manager or Roofing Project Manager role. (Preferred)
- OSHA 30-hour certification. (Preferred)
- Experience managing small crews and customer accounts. (Preferred)
Work Environment:
- Office and on-site work (field visits required regularly).
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary to meet project deadlines.
