Youth Ministry Coordinator – $18–$20/hour, commensurate with experience – Kaneohe, HI

The Role

We are hiring a Youth Ministry Coordinator to provide Youth Ministry Services at Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe, HI. This is a 1099 contract position offering 15 hours per week, year-round. You will lead a base-wide, non-denominational Protestant youth ministry serving school-age children and teens.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize and deliver weekly youth ministry activities
• Lead key programs such as:
  • AWANA
  • Vacation Bible School (VBS)
  • Sunday Children’s Church
  • Holiday events
• Recruit, train, and mentor adult volunteers
• Keep detailed records of attendance and volunteer activities
• Coordinate efforts with local churches, schools, and youth organizations
• Develop and distribute promotional materials
• Submit resource forecasts and facility requests
• Attend chapel and community meetings as needed

The Person

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has a letter of recommendation from a Protestant military Chaplain or Senior Pastor
• Can demonstrate knowledge of Protestant faith and youth ministry
• Submits a current resume showing relevant experience
• Holds U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
• Can pass background and base access checks
• Has experience leading Christian youth activities
