As a HR Generalist / Sr. HR Generalist at Sierra Pacific Engineering and Products (SPEP), you’ll oversee a broad range of HR functions that keep the organization running smoothly and support a positive employee experience. Your responsibilities will span payroll and benefits administration, onboarding, employee relations, and policy management, giving you influence across every area of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Support: Serve as the first point of contact for HR inquiries, providing guidance and support while creating a positive, engaging experience for all employees.
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration: Process biweekly payroll, manage benefits, leaves, and workers’ compensation, giving you ownership of essential HR operations.
  • Compliance and Policy Management: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies, enhancing your knowledge of HR compliance and governance.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Support hiring, onboarding, and offboarding, helping you develop end-to-end HR process expertise.
  • HR Projects and Engagement Initiatives: Participate in HRIS implementation, policy updates, and employee engagement programs, expanding your strategic HR experience.
  • Data and Reporting: Generate reports and analyse HR metrics, sharpening your analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Manager Support: Advise leaders on performance management and employee relations, enhancing your coaching and leadership influence.

The Person

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s a plus).
  • 7–10 years HR experience.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification a plus.
