Patient Transfer Driver – $22.62 to $27.15 per hour + Benefits – Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley, BC

In this role, your main responsibility will be ensuring patients arrive safely and comfortably at their appointments or new facilities. This isn’t just about driving—it’s about providing reassurance and support to patients during a time they may feel vulnerable. You’ll use specially equipped vehicles to transport patients across your local region, assisting with mobility as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport patients between healthcare facilities.
  • Assist patients in and out of vehicles, using equipment such as wheelchairs, stretchers, and stair chairs.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of vehicles and equipment.
  • Complete any required documentation accurately.

The Person

  • Holds a Class 4 BC Driver’s License with 5 years of driving experience.
  • Maintains a clean Driver’s Abstract.
  • Holds a valid OFA Level 1 (Basic First Aid) certificate (or equivalent).
  • Can pass a Criminal Record Check for working with vulnerable adults and children.
  • Physically able to lift, push, or pull 250+ lbs with a partner
  • Friendly, patient, and willing to provide compassionate support.
  • Vaccinations in accordance with the Immunization Policy for Health Care Workers
  • Per Company policy, all employees are required to submit proof of the first and second dose of the Covid vaccination
