The Role

We are hiring for a Tier 1 FMCG manufacturing business who are setting up a brand new business unit, and are looking to hire a new procurement team – as a global head of procurement your role is to set the global vision and approach to commodity sourcing and supplier partnerships.

We are looking for a Head of Procurement – Pack to lead strategy and operations across our global procurement network. This senior role is critical to ensuring security of supply and driving value in a rapidly changing marketplace. You will design and deliver strategies that safeguard essential commodities, while building strong supplier partnerships and supporting operational excellence across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead global procurement strategies for packaging and related commodities
  • Negotiate and manage supplier contracts to secure cost-effective and reliable supply
  • Monitor and interpret commodity market trends to inform decision-making
  • Strengthen supplier relationships and ensure compliance with procurement policies
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across supply chain, manufacturing, and commercial teams
  • Apply advanced analytics and data insights to improve procurement efficiency and effectiveness

The Person

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Significant procurement experience in a global setting, particularly with commodities
  • A proven track record in creating and implementing successful procurement strategies
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Analytical strength, with the ability to decode market shifts and apply insights
  • Knowledge of procurement policies and category management practices
