COPIER HELPDESK TECHNICIAN – MON-FRI, 8-5 PM - VAN BUREN, AR

  Salary Range $35k-$40k depending on qualifications

The Copier Helpdesk Technician will work daily in our Van Buren, AR office reporting to the Helpdesk Director. This role will assist customers at our Copier/IT helpdesk to troubleshoot a variety of calls from basic to highly technical copier equipment and some basic network issues, etc.

What you’ll do…

  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, chat, or in person.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve copier hardware and software issues promptly, including printing, scanning and network connectivity problems.
  • Effectively communicate with customers to understand helpdesk issues, probing when necessary to understand, diagnose, and resolve issues while educating customers to minimize future calls.
  • Create, update, document, and close support tickets to track the status and resolution of user issues in the company database.
  • Educate users on operation of copier equipment, related software applications, and best practices to prevent common issues.

What we’re looking for…

  • High school diploma or equivalent; previous experience working with multi-functional office technology/office equipment industry; hands-on technical skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; self-motivated, and excellent communication skills.
  • Previous computer/network/helpdesk and customer service experience.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Previous field work experience in the office copier or office technology industry.
  • 3+ years of digital copier training and/or experience repairing and servicing office technology equipment (preferably Brother, Ricoh, or Sharp).
  • Associate degree in Electronics, Electronic Engineering, or similar field; Technical training certificates such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent hands-on technical experience.
