Registered Veterinary Technician – Cranbrook, BC

The Role

Are you a skilled RVT who thrives in a supportive, hands-on environment? Do you enjoy the challenge of a varied caseload and the reward of making a real difference to animals and their owners?

We’re looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team in beautiful Cranbrook, British Columbia. This is a full-time position with a rotating Saturday shift and shared on-call responsibilities. Most shifts are covered by our experienced team, with rare solo duties.

  • Salary: $23–$29 CAD per hour, based on experience
  • On-call: $45 flat fee + 2 hours OT for call-ins
  • Extras: Commission for select pre-surgical lab work
  • Vacation: 10 paid days annually + statutory holidays
  • Start Date: Flexible — we’re happy to wait for the right fit

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with surgeries and monitor anesthesia
  • Perform radiology and lab diagnostics
  • Provide inpatient care and client education
  • Handle occasional emergency support during on-call shifts
  • Support a respectful, collaborative team culture
