Health & Wellness Advocate – $53,000 – $70,000 – Apex, NC

We’re looking for a Health & Wellness Advocate to support the North Carolina National Guard community in and around Apex. This is a full-time, non-clinical position focused on connecting service members and their families with vital support services, including housing, finances, behavioral health resources, and more.

This role is mobile—you’ll work within armories and at unit events, meeting service members where they are. You’ll also contribute to non-clinical case management and collaborate with behavioral health professionals as part of the wider IBHS team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct needs assessments and develop support plans
• Coordinate non-clinical referrals and ensure follow-up
• Attend armories, outreach events, and community resource fairs
• Maintain clear records in the secure IBHS system
• Escalate critical issues to clinical staff as appropriate
• Build relationships with local providers and veteran services 

The Person

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a behavioral health or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in social work or case management (depending on degree)
• At least 1 year working with military personnel preferred
• Excellent communicator and natural problem-solver
• Self-directed, reliable, and able to travel throughout the area
• Confident managing sensitive cases and maintaining strict confidentiality
