Health & Wellness Advocate – $53,000 – $70,000 – Colfax, NC

We are seeking a Health & Wellness Advocate to support service members in and around Colfax. This full-time role forms part of the North Carolina National Guard’s Integrated Behavioral Health System (IBHS), focusing on non-clinical case management and resource coordination.

You’ll work directly within military armories and attend events, offering practical, timely support to service members and their families. From accessing housing or financial help to ensuring follow-up care, your role is to be a trusted link between individuals and the resources available to them.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess needs and coordinate support across housing, finance, health, and wellbeing
• Engage directly with service members at events and unit locations
• Maintain accurate records through the IBHS electronic system
• Provide follow-up and ensure continuity of non-clinical care
• Escalate critical or complex cases to licensed clinical staff as needed
• Build local connections with community, veteran, and government resources

The Person

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in behavioral health or related field
• 3+ years of experience with a Master’s, or 5+ years with a Bachelor’s
• At least 1 year of experience in a military context preferred
• Strong coordination and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working independently and travelling throughout the region
• Discreet, empathetic, and committed to maintaining client confidentiality
