Protestant Religious Education Coordinator - $22.00- $25.00 Per Hour (working around 12 hours per week)– Osan Air Base Chapel, Republic of Korea

The Role

Are you an organised education professional who enjoys creating meaningful learning opportunities for children, young people, and adults? Do you have experience supporting faith-based programmes while keeping activities well planned, engaging, and running smoothly?

We are looking for a Protestant Religious Education Coordinator to provide administrative and programme support for a comprehensive Religious Education programme. Working alongside Chapel staff and the designated Government representative, you will help deliver educational opportunities that support spiritual growth, family engagement, and community connection.

This part-time role offers up to 12 hours per week during a one-year contract period, with two optional extension periods available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating programmes for children, youth, adults, and families
  • Supporting Bible studies, seasonal programmes, educational events, and ministry activities
  • Managing schedules, resources, facilities, and volunteer support
  • Maintaining accurate attendance records, volunteer documentation, and programme files
  • Tracking curriculum materials, supplies, and equipment
  • Preparing reports, presentations, spreadsheets, and weekly labour-hour documentation
  • Supporting compliance with child and youth protection requirements
  • Helping evaluate programmes and identify opportunities for improvement

The Person:

We are looking for someone with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple activities at the same time. Previous experience supporting Protestant Religious Education programmes is preferred, such as experience as a Religious Education Coordinator, Director of Christian Education, Sunday School Director, Children’s Ministry Director, or Church Education Administrator.

You should have:

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience coordinating volunteers and maintaining records
  • Confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • The ability to prepare schedules, reports, and presentations
  • Familiarity with Protestant Christianity and the ability to support a diverse Protestant ministry environment
