Catholic Religious Education Coordinator- $20.00Per Hour (working no more than 25 hours per week)– McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas The Role Do you have experience teaching and coordinating Catholic faith formation programs for children, adults, and families? Are you a certified Catechist with strong organizational skills and a commitment to supporting a thriving Catholic community? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Catholic Religious Education Coordinator to join the Community Chapel team at McConnell Air Force Base. As the Catholic Religious Education Coordinator, you will oversee and deliver a comprehensive Catholic Religious Education program that supports Airmen, military families, and members of the chapel community. You will work closely with the Catholic Chaplain, officiating priest, chapel staff, volunteers, and parish leadership to ensure programs are delivered in accordance with Archdiocese for the Military Services (AMS) standards. Key Responsibilities: · Plan, coordinate, and evaluate Catholic Religious Education programs · Lead and support Sunday Religious Education classes and children's faith formation activities · Coordinate sacramental preparation programs, including First Reconciliation, First Communion, Confirmation, Baptism, and RCIA · Develop annual ministry calendars, budgets, and curriculum plans · Maintain sacramental, attendance, volunteer, and registration records · Recruit, train, and support volunteers and teachers · Coordinate Vacation Bible School, retreats, and special events · Manage approved program purchases, supplies, and educational materials · Prepare reports and documentation required by chapel leadership and AMS · Work collaboratively with chapel staff and other faith groups on community events The Benefits
The Person: · Certification as a Catechist through the Archdiocese for the Military Services (AMS) · Educational qualifications required by AMS standards · A current letter of good standing from your local Catholic priest · Knowledge of Catholic doctrine, sacramental preparation, and faith formation · Experience leading children's and family religious education programs · Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills · Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities · The ability to work effectively with clergy, staff, volunteers, and families · Flexibility to support programs and events throughout the week and weekends as required Contact informationSheila Spratley |
