We are now entering our commercial phase and are looking for a driven Business Development Associate to help us open doors in the life sciences sector.

The Role

This is a part-time, remote role with the genuine potential to grow into a full-time position as the company scales. You will be our first point of commercial contact in the life sciences space, and your primary mission is straightforward: identify small and medium-sized life sciences companies that face complex computational challenges — in areas such as molecular simulation, drug screening, compound optimisation, or genomic analysis — and introduce them to the opportunity of trialling quantum computing through our platform, completely free and with no commitment of any kind.

This is not a hard sell. The ask is simply: "Would you be open to exploring what quantum computing could do for your most complex computational problems, at no cost and no risk?"

Day-to-day responsibilities include targeted outreach to senior decision-makers (CTOs, Heads of R&D, Chief Scientific Officers) at pharma, biotech, and life sciences companies; building and managing a pipeline of qualified prospects; preparing tailored outreach materials; and feeding insights back to the founding team to sharpen our go-to-market approach.

What We Are Looking For

The single most important thing you bring to this role is existing high-level relationships within small and medium-sized life sciences companies. If you can pick up the phone to a CTO or Head of R&D at a biotech or pharma firm and have them take your call, you are the person we are looking for.

Beyond that, we are looking for someone who:

  • Has a strong network within pharma, biotech, medical devices, or related life sciences organisations
  • Understands the computational challenges these companies face — you do not need to be a quantum physicist, but you need to be able to have a credible conversation about why classical computing has limits
  • Communicates complex ideas simply and confidently at senior levels
  • Is self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working independently in a fast-moving, early-stage environment
  • Has experience in business development, account management, or scientific sales — formal qualifications are secondary to real-world relationships and results
