Head of Finance & Deputy s151 Officer Location: Headquarters, Northallerton with hybrid working arrangements Hours: Full Time Salary: LS2, £77,784 - £88,635 The Opportunity North Yorkshire Police are currently looking for a Head of Finance to join a dynamic Finance Team. This is an opportunity that will suit an experienced and accomplished finance professional – who can offer the right blend of technical expertise alongside operating at a strategic level. You will provide leadership and direction to Finance staff across Management and Financial Accounting, Accounts payable and receivable, Treasury Management and VAT, ensuring a high-quality finance service is provided to colleagues across the force. Working in partnership with senior leaders, you will ensure the development and implementation of both revenue and capital medium term financial plans which are aligned to the strategic priorities of the force/service as well as leading on the closedown process for Final Accounts. As a member of the Finance leadership team, you will provide expert technical advice to colleagues and stakeholders across the force on viability and funding strategies. Your role will be crucial to maintaining strong governance and compliance standards as well as ensuring forecasted performance and delivery of outcomes via KPI’s. You will strengthen our approach to financial planning, business insight and resource management to ensure NYP remains financially resilient whilst delivering against the ambitions set out in Our Plan on a Page 2024-2029.
