We’re looking for a Business Analyst I to join a dynamic team, supporting financial processes, reporting, and system improvements across a growing organisation.

The Role

This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in financial analysis, reporting, and system support. You’ll work closely with finance, accounting, and project teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all financial operations.

You’ll also act as a subject matter expert for department systems, contributing to system integration and implementation projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert for internal systems and support system integration projects
  • Reconcile financial accounts and reports, identifying and resolving discrepancies
  • Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and analysis
  • Manage accruals, journal entries, and debit/credit memos with accuracy and timeliness
  • Approve and release invoices in line with accounting procedures
  • Support vendor payment processes, including reviewing documentation
  • Liaise with construction and professional services vendors as required
  • Assist with general contractor payment analysis
  • Ensure compliance with bond-related financial requirements
  • Collaborate with finance and project teams on bond-related matters
  • Take ownership of assigned projects and drive them through to completion

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related discipline
  • Experience working with enterprise or accounting systems
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience reviewing historical trends and financial data
  • Proven ability to produce and interpret monthly financial reports
  • Confident communicator, able to present to stakeholders at all levels
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Able to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Intermediate skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Desirable Experience

  • Bond program experience
  • Construction program experience
  • Familiarity with Costpoint and/or Proliance
