Commercial Manager – Construction - £100k DOE with OTE of £120k – Liverpool

Are you an experienced Commercial Manager with a strong background in construction contracts and cost control? Do you have the confidence to manage the full commercial lifecycle while protecting margins and reducing risk?

Adexon Fire & Smoke Curtains is a leading UK manufacturer of advanced fire and smoke curtain systems, and we are looking for a Commercial Manager to join our growing team in Liverpool.

The role

This is a site-based position where you will take full ownership of the commercial and contractual lifecycle of projects. From initial enquiry through to final account, you will ensure each project is commercially sound, compliant, and delivered to a high standard.

You will play a key role in maintaining profitability, managing risk, and supporting business growth within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all commercial and contractual aspects across multiple projects
  • Prepare tenders, estimates, and pricing strategies to protect margins
  • Oversee cost control, procurement, and subcontractor management
  • Handle variations, valuations, and final accounts
  • Monitor and improve cash flow, ensuring timely applications and payments
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

The person

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying or Commercial role with a UK main contractor
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar (MRICS or working towards is desirable)
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • Detail-focused with a proactive and practical approach
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment
  • Experience across full project lifecycle within construction
  • Understanding of fire safety or regulated construction environments is advantageous
