An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Owner’s Authorised Representative (OAR I / OAR II) to oversee major public, educational, and commercial construction projects in Los Angeles.

This Owner’s Authorised Representative (OAR I / OAR II) position offers the chance to lead large-scale developments valued from $10M to $20M+, managing every stage from pre-construction and procurement to final close-out.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of assigned construction projects
  • Review design and pre-construction documents
  • Oversee budgets, schedules, and project reporting
  • Coordinate contractors, consultants, and district teams
  • Handle RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contract administration
  • Monitor compliance with DSA, BIM, LEED, CHPS, and OSHA standards
  • Lead project staffing, delegation, and priority management
  • Support project close-out, certification, and financial completion
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and senior leadership

The Benefits

Salaries:

OAR I -180k to 200k 

OAR II -194k to 214k

  • PTO: 120 hours annually (vacation/sick time), accrual starts on day one, available after 30 days.
  • Holidays: 8 paid holidays per year, including New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

The Person

To succeed as an Owner’s Authorised Representative (OAR I / OAR II), you should have:

  • 10–15+ years’ construction or project management experience
  • Proven success managing complex projects over $10M–$20M+
  • Experience in commercial, public, or educational facilities
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
  • Expertise in contracts, scheduling, and construction processes
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
  • CCM certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Knowledge of BIM, LEED, DSA, and OSHA standards is highly desirable
