Accounts Receivable Accountant- $50,000-$55,000 CAD – Remote/ Toronto, GTA

As an Accounts Receivable Accountant, you will manage the full customer invoicing and collections cycle. You will ensure invoices are accurate, payments are applied correctly and outstanding balances are followed up in a professional and timely way.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices in line with contractual terms and company policies
• Manage customer prepayments including application, reconciliation and balance monitoring
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding overdue balances and billing queries
• Set up and maintain customer accounts including credit terms and billing details
• Submit invoices and documentation through customer billing portals
• Manage collections activity to reduce aged receivables and improve cash flow
• Reconcile customer accounts and investigate any discrepancies
• Assist with month-end activities related to accounts receivable
• Produce and review ageing and receivable reports using Power BI and Jet Reports
• Identify opportunities to improve accounts receivable processes

The Person

To succeed as an Accounts Receivable Accountant, you will need:

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 3–5 years’ experience in an accounts receivable or accounting role
• Experience with invoicing, collections and cash application
• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Experience with Power BI and Jet Reports
• Strong Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables and reconciliations
• Clear and professional communication skills when working with customers
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work from home independently while collaborating with wider teams
• Valid passport: able to travel across North America
