The Role

Are you experienced in managing health and safety within busy operational environments? Do you enjoy ensuring sites run safely, efficiently, and without disruption across multiple locations? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you.

We are looking for a Health, Safety, Facilities and Fleet Manager to oversee the day-to-day safety, facilities and vehicle operations across several company sites. These include engineering workshops, yards, offices and one marina location along the South Coast.

This is a varied and hands-on role where no two days are the same. You will oversee health and safety delivery while ensuring facilities and vehicles remain compliant and fully operational. You will work closely with managers, engineers and operational teams across multiple sites.

The role is based in Holton Heath, with regular travel to additional South Coast locations. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with UK health and safety legislation and company policies across all sites
  • Maintain and review risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work
  • Carry out regular inspections of workshops, yards, offices and the marina site
  • Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, implementing corrective actions
  • Support managers and supervisors in maintaining a strong health and safety culture
  • Ensure emergency procedures, including fire safety and evacuation plans, remain up to date
  • Arrange health and safety training and ensure sites are prepared for inspections or audits
  • Oversee building maintenance, facilities upkeep and site infrastructure
  • Coordinate repairs, servicing and contractor activities
  • Manage maintenance schedules and ensure statutory inspections are completed
  • Oversee the company vehicle fleet, ensuring vehicles are serviced, maintained and compliant
  • Maintain fleet records and organise repairs or replacements where required
  • Provide guidance to drivers on safe and compliant vehicle use
  • Keep accurate records relating to safety, facilities and fleet management

The Person

The ideal Health, Safety, Facilities and Fleet Manager will have:

  • Experience managing health and safety within an operational environment
  • Good knowledge of UK health and safety legislation
  • Experience overseeing facilities, site maintenance or building operations
  • Experience managing company vehicles or fleet operations
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple sites

Desirable:

  • NEBOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification
  • Experience within engineering, workshop or industrial environments
  • Experience managing contractors and maintenance providers

You will be confident working with engineers, managers and operational teams, with a practical approach to solving problems and improving safety standards.
