Catholic Religious Education Coordinator - $20.00- $23.00 per hour (Working no more than 15 hours per week)– Mountain Home AFB, Idaho

We are looking for a Catholic Religious Education Coordinator to oversee and enrich our parish programs at Mountain Home AFB.

As the Catholic Religious Education Coordinator, you will manage and run a weekly Religious Education (RE) programme from September through May for pre-kindergarten to adult learners. You’ll ensure every class runs smoothly, volunteers are supported, and all activities reflect our welcoming Catholic community. During quieter months, you’ll plan ahead, organise volunteers, and prepare for the upcoming ministry year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate parish programs including youth, young adults, lectors, altar servers, extraordinary ministers, and social groups
  • Recruit, train, and support volunteers for RE and youth ministries
  • Prepare class schedules, weekly bulletins, announcements, and certificates of appreciation
  • Maintain office and storage areas in an orderly, safe, and professional manner
  • Ensure compliance with required certifications and installation records checks
  • Attend monthly community meetings and provide program updates
  • Manage supply requests, publicity, and administrative reporting

The Person:

  • Has at least two years’ experience in Catholic RE or teaching
  • Holds a degree in Religious Education, Theology, or a related field
  • Can work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Communicates clearly and professionally in English
  • Is proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
