As our Western operations continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Multi-Residential Construction to join our Calgary team. 

Position Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and execution of multi-residential construction projects from pre-construction through project completion. The successful candidate will lead project teams, manage subcontractors and consultants, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the high standards expected by Traugott and our clients.

This role requires a proactive leader who can manage complex projects while maintaining strong relationships with site teams, consultants, trades, and ownership groups. 

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership

  • Manage multi-residential construction projects from start to finish
  • Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution
  • Work closely with Site Superintendents to coordinate site activities
  • Ensure alignment between project schedule, procurement, and site operations

Financial Management

  • Manage project budgets, cost forecasting, and change orders
  • Review subcontractor scopes, contracts, and progress claims
  • Track project financial performance and report to senior leadership

Subcontractor & Consultant Coordination

  • Manage relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and owners
  • Lead project meetings and maintain strong communication across all stakeholders
  • Ensure project documentation is accurate and up to date

Schedule & Quality Control

  • Monitor construction schedules and proactively address delays
  • Ensure work meets contract drawings, specifications, and quality standards
  • Support deficiency management and project close-out activities

Safety & Compliance

  • Promote Traugott’s strong safety culture
  • Work closely with site teams to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Support site leadership in maintaining safe work environments 

Qualifications

  • 5–10+ years experience managing construction projects
  • Experience managing multi-residential projects (apartments, condos, or mixed-use developments)
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and budgeting
  • Experience coordinating large subcontractor teams
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with construction management software (Procore considered an asset)
  • Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
